Pasca is one of the municipalities that make up the Páramo de Sumapaz, the largest moorland in the world which is the reason why it was declared a National Natural Park of Colombia. The Muisca tribe of Colombia considered it to be a place of love, since it was associated with the sacred forces of creation and the origin of man and woman. Humans were forbidden to enter this area.
